'This time let’s go Japanese cuisine once again. I found this place with a Japanese feel from its interior design. I’m talking of Taishozan Japanese Restourant. They serve sauteed bamboo shoots with a glass of Barley tea as appetizers. I right away ordered my favorite Okonomiyaki and to my surprise it was the Hiroshima style which has noodles in it and topped with pickled ginger. Next were the ramens - Miso and Seafood. Both broths were so savory, with tender slices of pork, fresh al dente noodles, and fresh veggies. The tuna gyoza was a first time for me. Never expected tuna for that. It was kinda spicy and crunchy. The salmon sashimi was for me to die for. It was fresh and juicy, melts in your mouth. The fried chicken was legit crispy and very tasty. To clean my savory palate I ordered their vanilla ice cream with mango tempura. I never thought that mango would be good as a tempura filing. The meal was really tummy-filling. If you want to feel the Japanese vibe as you dine, visit Taishozan located at Sobrecary St. Obrero. The price is worth the food and experience.
